Hi, I'm Steph!

Steph Ngan (She/Her)
Student Therapist under Supervision
Accepting New Clients for in-person therapy in Toronto + online across Ontario
Approach to Therapy
Steph is committed to working with clients to build the space and capacity to feel more alive, curious and light in their bodies. She knows that someone can understand exactly why they do something, and still not be able to change, because the patterns that run deepest take shape in our bodies, and in parts of us that formed before words.
Part of our work together will be tuning into the messages and signals of our bodies, using breath, sound and movement to access different parts of ourselves. Working together starts with trust, and trust starts with building a safe, warm and understanding relationship: with one another, and within ourselves. This is where we’ll begin.

Steph loves creating collaborative spaces where clients feel safe to feel, to explore, and to try on different parts of themselves. She believes that the greatest opportunity for change occurs when we are free from judgement, lovingly supported, and can explore the most tender parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion. She integrates somatics and Internal Family Systems into her practice to support self-awareness, embodiment, and nervous system regulation.
Steph is a student therapist under supervision, and is currently completing her clinical training at the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling Education (TCPCE), working toward registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is a certified Qigong practitioner and trained in Somatic-integrated Internal Family Systems. Her work bridges evidence-informed practices with deep intuitive attunement, drawing on a background in movement facilitation and embodiment-based coaching.
Her approach is gentle, trauma-informed, and non-pathologizing, focused on helping people return to safety, clarity, and presence in their bodies. Working primarily through relational, somatic and experiential lenses, she meets people where they are, honouring both the protective parts that have kept them going and the parts underneath that are ready to be met differently.
